Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is a British-Nigerian mixed race child, was born to a family in South London. Madekwe is English as well as her father is Nigerian. She was raised on a south London council estate and attended The Brit School at age 14. In London she attended The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting degree was obtained. She was on stage in numerous productions during her time at school like the role of King Henry V, as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe started acting in Storm Damage. Over the past few years Madekwe's appearance in Teachers and Doctors. Madekwe's breakout came with 2007's Woody Allen film Cassandra's Dream. It was co-starring Colin Farrell (who played the role of Cassandra) as well as Ewan McGrath. She then was the lead in Elisha on an episode of the BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In the same time, she starred as Ollie for six episodes of Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. In 2008 she landed Bambi's character on ITV2 Drama Series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was in both series 2 and 3. Madekwe made an appearance in the comedy feature film How to Lose Friends & Alienate People. She also appeared in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path written directed by David Watson.
Madekwe was officially introduced to her US debut in the series The Beautiful Life in 2009. The series aired only two episodes at The CW, and was then removed from the air. She was cast in February 2011 in the role of Ashley Davenport on the ABC drama Revenge. After being a regular for the first two seasons it was announced in May 2013 that Madekwe was set to depart the series following an appearance as a guest in the first episode in the season's third. From 2014 until 2016she appeared in Salem on the CW as Tituba. In June 2012, she married her long-time boyfriend, actor Iddo Goldberg. They worked together on Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Goldberg also appeared alongside Madekwe on Salem.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actress who was raised in the large family. She was the daughter of Roy and Patty Leggat. She was raised by her parents Roy and Patty as well as her four brothers -Rob, Brett, and twins Todd and Bram. Ashley's brothers, who are all athletes, play in the summer months and play hockey in the winter months. Ashley never actually walked -she danced, so at the age of 2 1/2 years old she took up Baby Ballet -and she fell in love with. Ashley was captivated by dance when she was just a few years old. Ashley continued to perform competitively until her high-school graduation in top divisions such as tap, Jazz, Ballet and Pointe. She also competed in Acrobatics, Acrobatics Musical Theatre, Lyrical Hip Hop and many more. Additionally, she was awarded the top awards for soloists in every important dance competitions such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance among others.
